Recently came in to visit with my mother and husband and I must say we were all satisfied. The customer service here is top notch. You know it's great service when you hear the staff welcome regulars by their names. 5/5 for customer service, definitely attentive, & polite. The ambience has a welcoming , Cali vibe with various California theme posters on their walls. The food was for the most part delicious. I ordered the turkey dinner and overall it was pretty good, my only complaints would be the veggies since they came out soggy & the mashed potatoes were a little dry but overall it was good. My hubby had zero complaints on his breakfast & my mother usually never finishes her plate but she enjoyed her sandwich so much that she devoured it. Overall great customer service, good food, & chill vibe.
Hey yelpers !! I have eaten here for many years. The food is always hot and fresh and well prepared. On any given day, you can come into the diner & Rosa, Javier, Lucy, Daisy , Rehilo & staff will make you feel welcomed.The service is always a 100% I have some hard nursing shifts & at the end of the Goldenwest Diner will offer a Hot delicious meal , and a warm ambiance. Keep up the great food and service !!
Ordered the Goldenwest breakfast. It taste great. Very delicious. The service is awesome the girl was super kind. Great calm environment. I definitely recommend this place.
Ive been to Goldenwest Diner many times over the years but I felt like my experience tonight warranted a review. The service is always great with all the waitresses that work here so you can't go wrong but this review is specifically for Bella. As soon as I walked in with my wife and 2 kids we were greeted and seated immediately by Bella and she provided a high chair without me saying anything for my 1 year old son - this was the start of the service provided by her. It was the little things; when ordering drinks she brought my daughters drink in a children's cup with a lid so she wouldn't spill it (hopefully), anytime we needed drinks she noticed and offered for refills, we got some fruit for my 1 year old son and she brought it out early before our food because she noticed my son was getting antsy, she offered proper condiments like ketchup for the French fries instead of waiting for me to ask for it, she noticed my wife made my daughters pancakes with chocolate chip eyes and an orange peel mouth and she took the pancake back and decked it out with whip cream hair. The menu here is a solid American Diner menu with breakfast all day and some tasty dessert options (try the cinnamon rolls to go!) so you can't go wrong at Goldenwest Diner. But my family and I go to dinner every Thursday at different restaurants and I'm telling you - these little things are not common. Just wanted to give Bella her flowers as she was attentive to my family and provided us with impeccable service!
First of all, I LOVE THIS PLACE! I want to share this gem with you all. It has that old timey diner feel and the service has always been amazing and it was again today. The place is not fancy but it feels like home. A very relaxed vibe and that customer service that feels like family. FOOD: We both got the Ribeye Benedict. The Hollandaise today was a little thicker than before. Usually it comes out nice and creamy. The steak is well seasoned, slightly salty, and the eggs are poached nicely. I asked for the hash browns to be well done because I like them crispy and they delivered. We didnt get the pancakes today but they are also very well done! Overall I would give this place a 5/5. The Service was amazing, and there were just missed on the food that caught me off guard because it is usually 10/10. For a small Diner this place definitely knocks it out of the park.
I went here for some brunch because it was close to the OC Food Bank where my co-workers and I had a volunteer event. It's right on the corner where there's a freeway entrance so it's kind of a pain to get to from the front. Tip: there is an alleyway around the corner that get you there without sitting through traffic at the light. Lots of parking FYI. The diner was really very neat and kept very clean. It looked like there were a lot of long time patrons having breakfast. The service folks are super friendly and were often walking around with ample refills for your coffees. Now on to the food. What can I say?! My fave: the country fried steak and eggs were made perfectly to order and their gravy was delicious! No mistakes on my order although the steak was on the rather thin side, but it was crisply fried and the gravy was significantly more than a dollop. Really tasty! I would definitely go back. Lovely dining experience!
Their rib-eye special is very worth it Comes w soup and salad, steak, choice of sides, and even dessert. Portion wise i think its actually bigger than the steak special at norms. I like their vegetable beef soup - lots of veggies There is no time restriction to get their baked potato which is a plus in my eyes Ribeye special is only known tuesday, fridays, and saturdays. Lots of parking too!
